FCE - First Certificate in English is an upper-intermediate level exam which recognises your ability to deal confidently with a range of written and spoken communications.
Am I able to sit for this exam?

FCE is designed for learners whose command of English is adequate for many practical everyday purposes, including business and study.

You should have a wide grasp of vocabulary, and be able to construct an argument and use appropriate communication styles for a variety of situations.

What does it test?

Five English language skills are tested:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Use of English
  • Listening
  • Speaking.

How can I prepare for it?
UNIVERSITIES AND SCHOOLS
If you have more than 25 students then we can organise the exam at your premises. Extra dates are available and we offer a discount. Please contact us by e-mail at the beginning of the school year or as soon as possible.
SPECIAL NEEDS

We aim to do our best to cater for candidates with special needs.  We will do all we can to enable candidates to understand test questions and ways of giving answers. All candidates, irrespective of their disability, will be assessed fairly and objectively.

Candidates who require special arrangements are asked to contact us before they submit their application. Relevant supporting materials such as medical certificates should be submitted during registration.
