Our Young Learner intensive summer courses are designed to help your child improve their English, think independently and work collaboratively. Our fun, communicative lessons will increase your child’s confidence in using English both inside and outside the class and help them do even better at school.
Our courses:
- Are taught by trained, qualified, native-speaker-level teachers
- Are fun, interesting, communicative and challenging
- Improve speaking, listening, reading and writing skills
- Provide a strong grammar foundation to consolidate your child’s work at school
- Develop your child’s English using up-to-date learning methods
- Have a maximum of 16 students in a class
- Take place in a friendly, safe environment with constant supervision
We have Primary, Junior and Senior classes:

Each course is 45 hours long; classes are 4 days a week
Primary classes: 8:30 – 11:30
Junior classes: 0830 – 1130
Senior classes: 1200 - 1500
At the end of each level your child will get a certificate if he/she successfully completes the course. You will also get a report card which will show you how your child is doing in the class and make you more aware of your child’s strengths and weaknesses in English.
Term: Summer 2
Registration dates: 29 & 30 July from 9:00 to 14:00
Course dates: 31 July – 28 August
Each student is given a short placement test to make sure that they are enrolled in a group at the right level. The placement test is free of charge
Your child will need to bring proof of age to the registration session.
Each course costs LBP 650,000. The registration fee for your second and/or third child is LBP 500,000.
Books are not part of the course fee and need to be purchased separately at the British Council after registration.
