The Alex Wilson band

In collaboration with the Lebanese National Conservatoire, we hosted the Jazz musical concert by the UK based Alex Wilson Band Quartet.

At the end of the one night concert the students expressed what they had learnt and gained as experience and benefit from the workshops in a lively 'Jam session' that protrayed the amicability and success of the experience between both the Lebanese participants and the UK experts.

Rony Barak's band

"A colourful blend of Arabic, Latin, Jazz and Funk – a fusion between East & West”

On the occasion of 'La fête de la musique', Rony performed on the twenty first of June 2001 in downtown Beirut with special guests from the UK Derek Nash (Saxophone) and Michael Osborne (Drums), and three Lebanese musicians: Hani Siblini (keyboard), Abboud Saidi (bass) and Harach Kassis (flute and saxophone.) The Rony Barrak's band performance was exquisite and unprecedent in its choice of eastern and western fusion.

Melodians Steel band

We supported the Melodians Steel band visit to the Al Bustan festival programme for the year 2001 in Lebanon.

The seven musicians from North London, in the best Trinidad steel drum tradition, have played on their oil drums all over the world, including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Highgrove House, Prince Charles' country house. They were fun and friendly. Their performance in the Assembly Hall at the American University of Beirut was a pleasant encounter for the audience.
