Near East and North Africa
Skills For Employability

The Skills for Employability programme aims to encourage skills development in the Near East and North Africa by supporting national reforms in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and encouraging closer links between education and industry.

The programme includes a series of themed workshops, seminars, awards and training sessions for policy makers and practitioners to facilitate international exchange of best practice in TVET, promote inter-cultural dialogue and address the shared challenges of globalisation.

As part of the programme, the British Council also facilitates partnerships between educational institutions in the UK and institutions in various Near Eastern or North African countries to support the sharing of knowledge and experience, and the development of best practice in a range of areas.

For more information telephone the Skills for Employability team on +44 (0)161 957 7821 or e-mail SkillsforEmployability@britishcouncil.org.
