The Skills for Employability project aims to encourage skills development in Central and Southern Asia by supporting national reforms in technical and vocational education and training and encouraging closer links between education and industry.
Through college and consortium partnerships with the UK, the project aims to establish industry-driven curriculum models in key sectors of the economy that equip young people with the technical and generic skills that employers require.
British Council will support this through a series of themed workshops, seminars, awards and training sessions for policy makers and practitioners to facilitate international exchange of best-practice in TVET, promote inter-cultural dialogue and address the shared challenges of globalisation.
College partnerships:
Wakefield College and Almaty College of Construction, Kazakhstan and Edinburgh Telford College and Textile Institute Tangail, Bangladesh - Fashion Sector are just two of the many College partnerships that are being created between people and institutions from the UK and the Central and Southern Asia region....
