‘Sport (rugby), singing, pub culture’
‘Rugby (or rugbi in Welsh) is the national sport, passion and religion – games against the English are particularly savoured! Music and song – both popular, Stereophonics etc, and more classical, Bryn Terfyl and Katherine Jenkins.’
‘Rugby mad people – the mood of the nation can depend on the Wales team’s results. In recent years Wales has produced several good bands (Manic Street preachers, Catatonia, Stereophonics) which has movedaway from the stereoptypical Tom Jones label (although we still like Tom Jones).’
