the fan's view

Coinciding with 'official business' (supporting the ‘Red Devils’ at their Champions League game against Benfica in December 2005), two fans from the Fleetwood branch of the Manchester United supporters' club took time out to visit a secondary school in Lisbon and participate in an English class with a difference. Stuart Gill and Pete Weldon related stories of the other side of football: the side in which the fans are the principal characters.

You can listen to Stuart talking about various different subjects. You can download the audio files or listen online. You can also see the tape scripts and do some language activities to practise your English.
