Hello, many of the traditions associated with women's day sound to me like celebrating their 'soft and submissive' role (flowers and parfume) more than their equal standing with men. As for international days, I think it made a sense when there were two or three such days in a year, but at present you get a special day every single day of the year, sometimes two different celebrations on the very same day, which is why most people do not pay attention to it. In fact, I don't think - given these circumstances - that it makes any sense.
