PEMP stands for the Provision of English for Military Purposes. We are a Special Interest Group within the Peacekeeping English Project (PEP). PEP is a UK Ministry of Defence and UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office funded project whose aim is to assist partner countries increase the English Language skills of their uniformed personnel. PEMP focuses on doing research into Military English, training teachers of military personnel in materials design and production.
