Science seminars

If you are a policy-maker or advisers to government or a non governmental organisation, journalist, scientist, researcher, science centre director or a professionals working in science education, British Council can give you the opportunity to explore issues at the forefront of current research.

Activity 1: Pre-reading task

One definition of seminar is "any group or meeting for holding discussions or exchanging information."

If you wanted to attend a seminar in the UK you would want to know the following information:

1. the date
2. the place
3. who the seminar is for
4. how much it costs
5. the subject in brief
6. the subject in detail
7. why it is happening at this time
8. who will be speaking
9. who is in charge of the event
10. which activities and events are happening at what time
