After reading the poems, try some writing yourself.

Our first poem was sent to us by Olajumoke Alaga.

my hearthrob

In my thoughts you reign
In my dreams you glisten
Blossoming as fragrant flowers
You beautify my life with your love
I feel you everywhere I go
In the trees you are there
When I soar among the eagles
I see you guiding the way I pass
You are my hearthrob
The song that I sing

Poem two was sent to us by Azhar Gallamova of Kazakhstan.

It's been a certain shift

It's been a certain shift
From what we used to do
Betraying the way we were
We soared high in uplift.

Before maniacally shy
We nourished on the sly
Strong wings within the walls
Of barred, depressive wards.

And nothing could betray us
But for our starry eyes
Concealing the depth of lakes
And hiding from mean fakes.

That would not last forever,
Unbearable was the strain
So that the day I met you
I thought of the sky to gain.

The stars I saw in your eyes
And your unfolded wings
Took me above old limits
To which the whole world clings.

You stretch yourself too far.
You're generous to share
The cosmos of your own
With me and the heaven fair.

Our third poem is from Driss Jijo

don't cry , my dear

Don't cry, my dear,
Over the spilt milk
God only knows
What may come later

My heart will never stop
Beating, mourning and loving
Close to u it will be forever
So warm that it will heat ur coldness
Beg thee nobody is to blame
But time
'Cause things acquired conduct
So hard to bear
'Cause both drink them madly.

Our next poem was sent to us by Rizky Setyaningrum.

Letter for the Soul Thermometer

My soul thermometer .....
If today
You put my heart within your eyes

Crushed
A pretty how-de-do

Today! I am not me
Myself
Not the hero of yours

Surviving
Helping
Saving

Today! is not yesterday

We never get the tomorrow under the feet

'Coz today I am just the loyal jack
No heart
No feel
No soul
Nothing to you

When the little red said
"You have to go away not for coming back"

Our final poem was sent to us by Tayyaba Batool of Pakistan.

love

love is a passion
love is a feeling
love is enduring
love is everlasting
love never ends.
