After reading the poems, try some writing yourself.

The first poem is from Habib Ur Rehman Abbasi from Pakistan.

Miss you

when sea makes noise
i hear your chatting voice
when snow begins to fall
it's a view of joys for all
when flowers begin to droop
my heart becomes sad for you
when night becomes gloom
it's a time for everyone to doom
everyone prepares himself to sleep
but for me, it's a time to cry and weep
at midnight, when everybody sleeps
i miss u, and miss you very deep

The next poem is from Mireille Moukarzel of the Lebanon.

salim

In you, I found a friend
In this great world that has no end
Thy love and thy faith
True friendship that gives me strength

The voice of passion is calling
And filling out the space
What sound of pain, what suffering
When Salim has bought me a ring

Salim, a name that has an echo
Salim, from what are you made?
You're not known by view
Salim, I love you
