chomsky park

We've called this section Chomsky Park in honour of the famous linguist Noam Chomsky. Chomsky had the idea that it was possible to create a sentence that was grammatically correct but impossible, for example, "Colourless green ideas sleep furiously".

Here's your opportunity to create your own nonsense sentence and submit it to the site. We'll publish the best sentences and test the best ones with the Chomsky Challenge.

Keep those sentences coming!

See sentences submitted by users.

We take on all-comers in the Chomsky Challenge: you write us a sentence, we’ll find an acceptable context!
