INTERCULTURAL NAVIGATORS

“Intercultural Navigators” is the British Council project that aims to deal with the challenges that we face in the multicultural and globalized world and promotes the idea of intercultural dialogue.

“Intercultural Navigators” provides possibility for future leaders in Europe to deepen the knowledge how to easily ‘navigate’ within and between different cultures – in order to be aware of their own cultural backgrounds and being able and open enough to accept, respect and understand other cultures.

22 ‘Intercultural navigators’ from Latvia were selected and took part in the project’s training programme. After the training ‘navigators’ (are using) use their gained skills and knowledge in order to develop their own initiatives thus making an impact on positive changes in the local, regional and international level.

I AM PRICELESS 3rd session on cultural diversity

Reflecting on the project „Intercultural Navigators” and one of the philosophies  - Ubuntu (I am because you are because we are), the project “I AM PRICELESS” was initiated to prolong learning from each other and provide a unique platform for knowledge spillover.

The 3rd gathering will take place @7 p.m. on April 23 in the cozy premises of British Council.

Speakers in the 3rd session are selected by majority votes on topic cultural diversity:

  2. Uzbekistan – flight on red carpet by Liene Pērkone (multifunctional representative of British Council)
  3. Another Europe: 11 countries in 1,5 months almost without running in the eyes of backpacker - Sanita Pušpure (mostly student living in two countries)
