Arts and culture for development
Our Arts for Development projects are united in working towards an explicit social end. We try to help people to express their views, empower excluded minorities, facilitate dialogue between different groups and affect policy and practice at Latvian state institutions.

We aim to bring the best samples of the UK’s practice and would like to encourage the various NGOs in Latvia as well as governmental bodies to develop partnerships and networks between social workers and artists working in this area in Latvia and in the UK.

To date our work with a social development aspect has covered music, dance and drama. We have organized workshops for drama teachers, social workers and contemporary dance students. The upcoming events for the next years are planned in collaboration with local partners.
