We promote innovative and contemporary work from the UK and aim to catalyse and refresh literary activity, providing inspiration, resources, information and tools that can be used to develop and re-think the role of literature.

Animating Literature is about re-think approaches to literature. Examples of such projects include readers groups and creative writing projects; the development of contemporary library stock; innovative usage of online and web-based resources.

We will be collaborating with teachers, libraries and publishers in Latvia as well as members of our Information Centre and Library in organising activities that will introduce the newest UK literature and encourage wider use of literature in English Language teaching.
