Languages for the Games

The British Council’s LearnEnglish has launched ‘Languages for the Games’,a global competition for schoolchildren to encourage second language use around the theme of Paralympic sports and values. Competition entrants must use their foreign language skills to demonstrate their creativity and awareness of the Paralympic Games. Entrants must create a short multimedia online presentation which can be viewed over the web and on mobile devices. Schoolchildren must enter as learners of English as a foreign language, and there are two age groups: Primary (users aged 8 to 11) and Secondary (users aged 12 to 16). The winners will get great class and individual / team prizes including a visit to the UK!
