Transatlantic Network 2020 (TN2020) is a new initiative that seeks to create sustainable, multilateral networks that span the Atlantic by engaging future leaders from North America and Europe to collaboratively address global issues. Living Together

Living Together , officially launched in March 08, addresses diversity and tolerance of migrant communities and participation of minority groups in public life. Living Together involves over 30 countries across the UK and South East Europe employing various strands of activity including education and arts. An exhibition launched at Belfast's Waterfront Hall in May 2008, and is currently touring South East Europe. Debate to Action

Lives Entwined III

‘Britain & Ireland: Lives Entwined III’ is a new book of essays exploring the complex web of relations that exist between Britain and Ireland. Commissioned and published by the British Council, it follows two successful volumes of the same name published in 2005 and 2006, and the 2004 report Through Irish Eyes exploring changing attitudes towards the UK among young Irish people. The new book was successfully launched in Belfast on 21 May and in Dublin and Derry/Londonderry later that month. More on Lives Entwined ....

Living Together Photography Competition

Living Together 2008 is addressing the theme Intercultural Dialogue through studying the impact of migration on societies in South East Europe and the UK. Through this exciting British Council project, we want to build a global picture of how these issues affect young people worldwide and how we can improve understanding and live together harmoniously.
We challenge you to produce photographs that capture what migration might mean to you and which respond to one of the following briefs:

New faces new places.
A sense of home.
Migration - a new phenomenon

Ordinary Lives

The Ordinary Lives exhibition, in text and photographs, continues its European tour with a launch at Cafe Louvre in Prague on 14 October 2008.
'Ordinary Lives' explores European migration through the eyes of 18 young people from the Czech Republic, Latvia, Northern Ireland, Poland, Portugal and Spain. The resulting stories and photographs reflect three different perspectives of the migratory experience: those who took the decision to move to Northern Ireland, the people they met on arrival and those they left behind.

Global Interaction Leadership Programme

Begun in Africa and now worldwide, the InterAction Leadership Programme is proving to be a valuable tool in equipping and encouraging a brand new set of community leaders - who together want to start the transformation of their country and continent. The process is inspiring participants to forge ahead with new ideals and new approaches, realising their own personal dreams and developing links for future collaborative working.
