The learning zone

The Learning Zone is a library area that we have created with the University of Science and Technology. It has a wide range of books in English, as well as a selection of UK newspapers, periodicals and magazines. There is a corner for information on education in the UK, internet access, and audio/video resources for language study.

How can you join the Learning Zone?
Any one can come to read in the Learning Zone. But if you pay to be a member you will be able to borrow up to two books for two weeks. You can be a member by paying an annual membership fee and a refundable deposit as follows:

Students $15 $20
Yemenis $20 $30
Others $30 $50

Please note that if you return books late you will be charged a fee unless you notify our librarian well in advance and if you keep a book for longer than three months you will lose your deposit.

When is the Learning Zone open?

0900 - 1700 Saturday to Wednesday
0900 - 1300 on Thursdays
