Who we are

The British Council is the United Kingdom's international organisation, connecting people worldwide with learning opportunities and creative ideas from the UK, and building lasting relationships between the UK and other countries.

The British Council in Israel

For more than fifty years the Council has worked in partnership with Israeli organisations and individuals in the development of Israel in education, English language, arts, governance, human rights, science, environment and technology.

How we work

Many of the projects and programmes we work on are funded by the British Government through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. We are particularly proud of our extensive links with effective Israeli NGOs, and our new website index provides us with the opportunity to take these relationships forward to many new partners in a way that will increase access and opportunity.

Where we are

We have centres in Tel Aviv, West Jerusalem, Nazareth, offering Internet access, materials and regular, free events to help you keep in touch with contemporary UK.
