Cambridge In-service Certificate In English Language is a course-based award for practicing English Language teachers. It is moderated by Cambridge ESOL so gives candidates an internationally recognised certificate. It aims to improve teachers' skills in the context in which they are currently working.

 WHO IS ICELT FOR?

The ICELT course in Korea is aimed at Korean Middle and High School teachers of English. Candidates should be aware that this is demanding course and that they must fulfil all assessment requirements in order to pass and be eligible for the certificate.

 WHEN IS THE NEXT COURSE?

We will run 3 courses from  Monday 27 July until Friday 11  December 2009:

  • One course for Elementary / Primary school teachers (16 places)
  • Two courses for Middle & High School teachers (24 places)

There will be a two week intensive block during the school summer holidays and then the course will be run part-time during term time.

HOW MUCH ARE THE COURSE FEES?

The cost of the course is fully funded by Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, provided that you are working in a school in the Seoul area.

HOW DO I APPLY?

  1. Download the appropriate application form and complete it.
    • Elementary school teachers – application form ( MS Word, 119 KB)
    • Middle & High School teachers – application form ( MS Word, 93 KB).
  2. Send the completed application form to us by e-mail. The application deadline is Wednesday 27 May 2009.
  3. Successful candidates should attend an interview. You will be told whether you have an interview or not on Monday 1 June. The interviews will be held from Tuesday 2 June.
