    TRAINING PROGRAMME

Cambridge In-service Certificate In English Language is a course-based award for practicing English Language teachers. It is moderated by Cambridge ESOL so gives candidates an internationally recognised certificate. It aims to improve teachers' skills in the context in which they are currently working.

 WHO IS ICELT FOR?

The ICELT course in Korea is aimed at Korean Primary, Middle and High School teachers of English who are:

  • keen to teach English through English
  • keen to improve your classroom management
  • open to learning new strategies for promoting learner development
  • keen to get feedback on their teaching in their teaching context.

Candidates should be aware that ICELT is a challenging yet rewarding/practical course and that they must fulfil all Cambridge assessment requirements in order to pass and be eligible for the certificate.

WHEN IS THE NEXT COURSE?

We will run the ICELT course from Monday 21 November 2011 and to Friday 8 June 2012

  • Primary (elementary school teachers), Secondary (middle and high school teachers)

* Block 1 – semi-intensive (21 hours) 7 evenings between Monday 21 November – Monday 12 December
* Block 2 – intensive (25 hours) Monday 30 January 2012 to Thursday 2  February 2012
* Block 3 – semi-intensive (42 hours) 14 evenings between Monday 5 March 2012 – Friday 8 June 2012

HOW MUCH ARE THE COURSE FEES?

The cost of the course is fully funded by Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, provided that you are working in a school in the Seoul area.

HOW DO I APPLY?

  1. Download the appropriate application form and complete it.
    • Elementary school teachers – application form ( MS Word, 119 KB)
    • Middle and high school teachers – application form ( MS Word, 93 KB).
  2. Send the completed application form to us by e-mail. The application should be sent by 21 October 2011.
  3. Successful candidates should attend an interview.
