LIVERPOOL AND FRIENDS?

The most successful team in English history is Liverpool FC. The most popular is Manchester United. That makes for a sometimes bitter animosity. However, the city of Liverpool has two teams, and Everton also have an incredible heritage. The soap opera that constitutes these ongoing rivalries reaches a climax in the next month as Liverpool’s season reaches make or break with crucial matches against their fiercest competitors: we examine the context behind the coming games.

Coincidentally, in our office there are more fans of Liverpool than any other team. One of them, Gavyn Upham, has transferred some of his loyalty to his new local club: FC Seoul. To introduce a new Football Culture diary, he records his impressions of the recent friendly with LA Galaxy. And don’t forget, if you have a comment on any topic, write to us and win an FC t-shirt!
