1. We only employ qualified and experienced teachers.

The minimum requirements for a teacher to work with us are a TEFL-I qualification, such as the Cambridge CELTA and two years relevant teaching experience. Many of our teachers also have a TEFL-q qualification, such as the Cambridge DELTA, MAs and more than five years experience.

The majority of our teachers are from the UK. However we also have teachers from Australia, Canada, Ireland, South Africa and the USA, providing our students with the opportunity to experience different accents, dialects & cultures as they progress through different levels of English.

The British Council is committed to ensuring the best quality of service by providing highly qualified teachers who are aware of and trained in the most up to date methodologies and classroom techniques. In order to achieve this quality we actively encourage our teachers to continue their professional development by attending training courses.
