 Placement interview and registration for new students

  • Placement tests can only be booked on our website.
  • Priority is given to candidates who take the test in earlier slots.
  • You can register for a course when places are available regardless of the date and time you take the placement test.
  • Adult classes are for students over 18 years.
  • The British Council reserves the right to ask to see identification for proof of age when placement test candidates come for the test. A national identity card or driver’s license will be accepted as proof of ID. For foreigners, a passport will be required.
  • Please note that some courses are booked up early and places may not be available for people who take the placement test on later dates.
  • The placement test consists of a written test(30-40 minutes) and a speaking test(10 minutes). The whole process takes about an hour including waiting time.
  • The placement test result is valid for 6 months.
  • The test fee is free of charge from 21 May to 17 July. Please come at least 10 minute before your placement test time.
  • The online booking works on a first come first served basis.

  • Re-registration for current students
    If you are an existing student, you will get a 10% of discount for re-registration during re- register period stated above. However, if the courses are not full you can re-register at any time until the second week of a term as long as there are vacancies in the course you wish to join with prorated course fee.

  • Re-registration for students taking a break
    If you wish to take a break for the next term, then we will automatically put your name on the waiting list. You can register anytime unless the course is full.

* If you are a university student and register for the first or the second session in 2012, you will receive a 20 % discount. The 20% discounted class fee is W244,000 for Complete English and W132,000 for Skills courses.
