We have developed a series of television programmes, ‘Hello, Story Fisher!’, in partnership with Mega TV, a subsidiary of Korea Telecom, specialising in internet based television services.

The series of programmes focuses on developing the English language of Korean 7- to 10-year-olds, the age at which most children in Korea start learning English. It uses a number of the short animated stories from our official English learning website, LearnEnglish Kids, maintaining the integrity of the content of this material while adapting it to suit a Korean audience. The initial idea was inspired by storytelling sessions our teachers ran at the main Seoul centre for children and parents using big books and then some of the LearnEnglish Kids stories.

The series of programmes is now being offered on Mega TV’s network service. Any subscriber to this service can view the ‘Hello Storyfisher’ programmes. You can also get a taste of it on our Cyworld mini homepage.
