The English for Everyday Use courses run for six hours per week and follow a coursebook. Students will cover speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary in these lessons. During the course you will be continuously assessed by your teacher. You will receive individual counselling about your strengths and weaknesses, and you will get advice on what course to register for next. The end-of-level courses (Eg. Pre Intermediate 3) also have a formal level test in week six to check that you are ready to move on to the next level.
The other courses run for three hours per week. Some of these courses follow a course book whereas, in other courses, such as Academic Writing or the Business Skills Intensives your teacher will supply all the materials you need during the lesson. As these courses focus on specific skills in you will not move up to the next General English course having completed the course.
