Dynamic Designs challenges your team to design an earthquake-resistant building.
Your creative design proposals will be judged by earthquake engineering specialists from the University of Bristol, who will select a shortlist of 12 teams to compete in the final. There, you’ll be asked to present your proposals to a panel of expert judges. Your team will also need to construct a model and test it on the ‘shaking table’ to see how it stands up to a simulated earthquake.
Dynamic Designs will help you develop the skills, creativity and teamwork that international employers are looking for. You also get the chance to work with the University of Bristol – one of the UK’s most prestigious and research-intensive universities – as well as Education UK and the British Council.
Teams from universities across Korea will be taking part. Compete against them for your chance to win a fantastic range of prizes:
The winning team will be awarded a trophy for their university and each team member will also win a brand new Netbook.
Each member will win an iPod Touch.
Each member will win an iPod Touch.
All students who participate in the challenge will be awarded a certificate from Education UK and the British Council.
The idea for Dynamic Designs was created by the University of Bristol and has been developed from the IDEERS project, initiated with funding from EPSRC, the Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council.
