The British Council is the United Kingdom’s cultural relations agency.

We connect people worldwide with learning opportunities and creative ideas from the UK and build mutually beneficial relationships between people in the UK and other countries.

We work in 109 countries around the world and are celebrating our 75th anniversary this year.

We established our centre in Korea in August 1973. We currently provide services in education promotion, English teaching and examinations. We promote partnerships in arts, science & technology, ELT and education.

Location and opening hours

We are located in Gwanghwamun area in the central of Seoul. Please check the opening hours and public holidays before you visit our office.
