HOW CAN I JOIN AT ENGLISH COURSES AT THE BRITISH COUNCIL?

All new students who want to join one of our courses have to take a placement test. This ensures that all our students register for the course that will best meet their learning needs. Please check the next test date for Adult Learners.

If you want your children join the Teaching Centre Young Learner Courses, please book a place for the placement test. Please check the procedure for the registration of Young Learners.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT IELTS AND GET MORE INFORMATION ON THE EXAM.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System), is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work in places where English is used as the language of communication. We hold IELTS regularly from twice to four times a month. Please visit the British Council IELTS website where you can find out about all the details about IELTS, the test dates, registration process and results.

WHERE CAN I FIND RELIABLE INFORMATION ON STUDYING IN THE UK?

Education UK website provides the latest information on the British education system and studying in the UK including course information and tips about living in the UK. (Please note that the British Council Korea doesn’t provide an individual counselling service.)

WHAT ARE THE BRITISH CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS?

The British Chevening Scholarships are prestigious scholarships that enable young people from abroad to pursue postgraduate studies in the UK. The scholarships are funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, with additional sponsorships offered by a number of companies and organisations. The British Council administers the Chevening Scholarships scheme on behalf of the British Embassy.  

CAN I GET A VISA AT THE BRITISH COUNCIL?

No. The visa for entry to the United Kingdom is handled by the British Embassy, Seoul. We don’t provide any services related to visas. Please check the UK Visa Application Centre if you have any enquires related to visas.
