Scary Mary's First Halloween

So Mary left the house alone and walked through the forest towards the sound of the howling wolves.

“Hello Mr Wolf.” called Mary.  “Anyone there?”

“Ah Mary”, growled the big grey timber wolf,  “How delicious you look tonight…”

“Please sir” said Mary.  “It’s Halloween and I have to go haunting. Could you come with me?”

The wolf looked at the little ghost, opened his jaws wide so that his sharp white teeth glinted in the moonlight and ….....yawned.  “I’m sorry Mary but I’ve been howling since sunset and I’m just too tired to go anywhere tonight.”  

“But it’s my first Halloween and I can’t go on my own because of the mice and the rats and the spiders and the bats and the people…I’m frightened” said Mary

“Oh it isn’t scary Mary” said the wolf.  “Anyway try the Vampires they like haunting!!”
