alan and the alien
By Sue Clarke
Alan has been visited by an alien - Zogol from Planet Pegasi 5. Zogol is a friendly alien and Alan has shown him his world. Now it's Alan's turn to visit Zogol's world. He's been flying around the city in Zogol's silver capsule, and they've just arrived at a long silver-grey building. What is it? Read and listen to the next part of this story.

They went inside.
"Where are we?" asked Alan.
"This is our fun club," said Zogol. They went into a large room. It was filled with creatures of every shape, colour and size. Some of them were fat and hairy. Others were tall and thin with several antennae. They had different coloured arms and legs which were long or short. They had no ears, or five ears, or ten ears. They had purple faces and orange toes. They had one large eye, or six eyes all around their heads! They were one colour or multi-coloured. It was just an incredible sight.

"These are my friends Spookle and Globo," said Zogol. Alan shook hands with a very large green spiky alien with three eyes and a small purple-coloured creature with five arms.

"Pleased to meet you," said Alan. Spookle and Globo smiled at him. Even though Spookle and Globo thought Alan was really weird because he only had one head and two eyes, they made him welcome.

The aliens danced around to strange music and chatted to each other. Alan watched in amazement. He had never seen dancing like this! After a while Zogol said it was time to go home. They went back to his house in the flying silver capsule.
