Aslan learnt about the Enterprise Challenge from our web and voted for Pakistan team as he liked that the project idea addressed an important issue offering specific ways of solution.
The British Council ran Enterprise Challenge competitions in different countries for students of vocational colleges.
The teams were set a challenge to develop a product or service to help young people in their community to better understand their options (study/jobs/self-employment) and to raise their confidence and skills to help them feel ready for the world of work. We were looking for creativity, message clarity, relevance as well as overall impact.
They were presenting their ideas for the regional final in the form of short videos and public voting determined the winners: Nepal and Pakistan.
Online voting was open from 28 February to 10 March 2011. The public votes were an important factor in deciding the wining team, with a panel of judges also contributing to the final decision.
