British Council Kazakhstan Director Received the Highest Honour from the Ministry of Education and Science Orange lozenge left

Lena Milosevic, Director of the British Council Kazakhstan, received the highest award given by the Ministry of Education and Science, Kazakhstan.  The Minister of Education and Science, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, presented Lena with her honour, as recognition of the British Council’s contribution to the development of education.

The British Council works closely with the Ministry in the fields of English language and secondary, vocational and higher education. In Spring 2010 the Ministry and the British Council signed a Joint Action Plan aimed at improving the quality of English language teaching and supporting educational reforms in Kazakhstan.

The award of Honourable Educational Activist was established by the Ministry of Education and Science in 2000. It is the top education award in Kazakhstan and it was given to a foreign citizen for the first time.
