The British Embassy Astana is holding the “Going for Gold” campaign for 6 months from 15 March to 17 September 2011 towards Olympic Games arriving to the UK next year.

This campaign includes a photo competition. To participate in it you need to pick up your favourite shots of you and/or your family/friends at sport occasions and send them to ukinkz@fco.gov.uk with “photo contest” in subject line. If you’ve been in the UK, we welcome your photos about your time there, particularly when involved in sport activities.

Photos are accepted only in digital format (jpeg format, not less than 100 Kb) with appropriate description and credits. Deadline for photos submission is 31 August 2011. Public vote for the first three winning photos will start on 1 September 2011 at the Embassy’s website.

The winners will be announced in September 2011 in Astana. The winner will get Samsung Dual View Digital Camera and the next five places will be awarded with London 2012 Union Jack Cap.
