English language breakthrough for Kazakhstan Orange lozenge left

British Council Kazakhstan had a major breakthrough to showcase its English Language strategy through ETTE project to a larger Kazakh audience in major cities of the country.

It was possible through a special initiative BC Kazakhstan undertook in the months of March and April this year. They organised an exclusive press-tour for Kazakhstan’s main TV channels in three cities Almaty, Astana and Aktobe and allowed the journalist to interact with wide varieties of beneficiaries of our English language offerings.

The prime time programme called ‘Breakthrough’ covered most of our ETTE target audience and showed our engagement with major stakeholders like Ministry of Education and Science, National Academy of Education, Departments of Education, INSETT and PRESETT institutions and schools.

There were interviews with a whole spectrum of our target audience including ETTE trainers, teachers trained in cascade training, mentors and mentees, focus groups participants, partners and stakeholders, students and their parents participating in a number of BC events.

The programme also covered EL launch with main partners and stakeholders as well as presentation and piloting of BC new products and mentor training.

It was recognised that British Council Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan has greatly contributed to the implementation of the government trilingual policy.
