CENTRAL ASIAN FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME’S PHD SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE 2012-2013 ACADEMIC YEAR Orange lozenge left

The University of Central Asia (UCA) is pleased to announce its Central Asian Faculty Development Programme’s (CAFDP) PhD scholarship programmes at its partner institutions – University of Montana (UM), United States and University of Alberta (U of A), Canada in the following fields:

1. Geosciences including environmental hazards, earthquakes, and disasters; Environment, Natural Resource Management, and Rural Development; and Cultural Heritage. These fields are supported through the UCA- UM partnership.

The deadline for applications is February 13, 2012.

The CAFDP provides scholarships to candidates on the understanding that they are interested in a career at the UCA and will be expected to work as researchers or teaching faculty at the Graduate School of Development and/or the undergraduate School of Arts and Sciences upon completion of their studies.

All applicants are required to meet the eligibility criteria put forth by UCA CAFDP and the admission criteria of UM and U of A.Applicants from Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan are strongly encouraged to apply.
