READING GROUP
Join the Reading Nomads!

Our reading group the Reading Nomads is made up of people with different backgrounds who share a love of reading - if you want to share your passion for fiction in English, join us!

We meet once a month in the British Council Information and Learning Centre to discuss a book by a contemporary author; copies of the books under discussion, as well as their audio and video versions, are available in the Centre, and as a member of the reading group you’ll have priority when borrowing books that we’re discussing.

To join the Reading Nomads you’ll need to be a member of our Centre and should have read a reasonable amount of contemporary fiction in English.

We choose a wide variety of books for discussion, and we cover many different themes and issues at our meetings. Previous books we have discussed include Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks and His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman, as well as popular books for younger readers by Roald Dahl, Jacqueline Wilson and Tim Bowler.

If you’d like to join us, or for more information, please contact Tamara Filatova.
