Emergency Landing
by Louise Cooper

Engine problems during a flight cause the crew to look for somewhere safe to land and for passengers to wonder about what might happen when they make an emergency landing. But nothing is quite as it seems. Unlike previous kits, the text is incorporated in two parts into the worksheets (see 'Context'), otherwise this follows the same pattern as previous kits in the series by having a pre-reading or Characterisation section, followed by a Context, Word Work and After Reading sections.

On the TeachingEnglish site you can download the Emergency Landing text, supporting activities and teacher notes. There is also a set of supplementary materials if you would like to extend work around this text. You can download an audio file of the text being read too, or listen to it on site.

Kit contents:

  • Chain Reaction pre-reading activities 1.52 MB
  • Chain Reaction text 8.88 KB
  • Chain Reaction post-reading activities 303.24 KB
  • Chain Reaction - teacher notes 92.67 KB
  • Chain Reaction supplementary materials 1.13 MB
  • Chain Reaction audio
