Presidential scholarship for young leaders in Kazakhstan

IMPORTANT NOTICE: From 01 September 2007 there will be significant changes to the administration of the Bolashak International Scholarship Programme. Please see the attached letter for further information

WHAT IS THE BOLASHAK SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME?
The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s International scholarship scheme is a long running programme managed by the Centre for International Programmes, on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science, Kazakhstan.

The programme objective is to provide an opportunity for the most talented students from Kazakhstan to undertake higher education courses at the best overseas universities, enabling them to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to build a democratic and prosperous society.

The Bolashak programme is designed to train future leaders in economics, public policy, science, engineering, medicine and other key fields. Upon completion of their programmes, scholarship recipients return to Kazakhstan to work in different Kazakhstan companies, governmental structures and international organisations for a period of five years.

If you have any general questions regarding education in the UK and/or IELTS examinations or the visa application process, please e-mail Bolashak@kz.britishcouncil.org and we will happily provide assistance.
