British Council is promoting music by connecting professionals from the UK and from Kazakhstan and showcasing the best of contemporary British music.

Following the success of the Kazakhstan tour of Goldierocks (a British star DJ, “Selector” Radio Show presenter, remixer and music journalist ) the British Council has facilitated cooperation between “Selector” and Energy FM radio. Listen to the Selector programme every Wednesday at 22:00 on Energy FM or online.

The Selector is the international radio showcase for the best new music from the UK. Since its birth in 2001 this weekly award-winning programme (Sony Radio Academy’s Gold Award, Radio Programme of the Year Award in Hungary) it has been broadcast in over 30 countries and built up a loyal audience worldwide.

“Selector” covers all styles of contemporary music - indie, grime, dubstep, folk, soul, electro and everything else in between. Each show also features artist interviews and exclusive studio sessions from some of the most exciting artists in the UK.
