The British High Commission

The British High Commission in Sierra Leone represents the British Government in its relations with the Sierra Leonean Government and promotes British interests in Sierra Leone. The British High Commissioner, Mr Ian Hughes, is the official representative of Her Majesty the Queen in Sierra Leone. He is responsible to the British Government for all aspects of the relationship between the two countries.

Special Court for Sierra Leone
The Special Court for Sierra Leone was set up jointly by the Government of Sierra Leone and the United Nations. It is mandated to try those who bear the greatest responsibility for serious violations of international humanitarian law and Sierra Leonean law committed in the territory of Sierra Leone since 30 November 1996.
