84 early-career researchers were recently awarded Researcher Exchange Programme awards as part of the 2007-08 scheme. The awards will support new collaborations between UK and international researchers in many fields, including climate change and energy security, nanotechnology, biotechnology, medicine, social science and archaeology.
New research links have been created between researchers in the UK and 32 different countries, including Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Finland, Germany, Hungary, India, Mozambique, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and Uruguay.

70 researchers, all at the start of their careers, were awarded Researcher Exchange Programme awards as part of the 2006-07 scheme, which supported new collaborations between UK and international researchers in the fields of energy and climate change, nanotechnology, biotechnology, astrophysics, medicine and psychology.
This was the first year of the programme and the awards supported the development of new research links between researchers in the UK and 27 different countries, including Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Germany, Japan, India, Mexico, Turkey and the United States.
