Community Participation for Community Xchange

Are you a community leader/ activist / champion in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Sargodha & Narowaal?

Do you have an active role working with young people in the above 5 communities?

Are you interested in a unique professional development opportunity for yourself or a staff member?

Community Xchange is an exciting and innovative programme for community leaders/ activists/ champions to facilitate the positive participation of young people in their communities, and to develop inter-community and intercultural dialogue that makes a positive difference to those communities.

A team of 30 community participants (with equal numbers from Manchester and Pakistan) will take part in professional development modules, and 3 week reciprocal visits to both countries where participants undertake work attachments and deliver community events to promote active citizenship among young people.

Pattan Development Organisation in collaboration with British Council Pakistan and Voluntary Services Overseas is initiating the third Global Xchange Programme (GXP).

GXP builds active global citizens, committed to working for positive change. This programme works with 18-25 year olds from the UK and Pakistan giving young people the opportunity to live and work together in communities as volunteer on a six-month exchange, with 3 months in each country.
