In recognition of the value of international co-operation in academic and scientific research, a collaborative academic research programme was established between the Netherlands and the United Kingdom in 1990. After seventeen years of working with NWO, the British Council now has a new partner; as from 2008 the UK-Netherlands Partnership Programme in Science will be jointly run and financed by the British Council and Platform Bèta Techniek.
The next deadline for applications is 16 March 2009
The aim of the British Council Partnership Programme in science is to enable early-stage and talented researchers from higher education institutions in the two countries to meet, exchange ideas and engage in scientific and academic research collaboration. This competitive programme provides a grant-in-aid towards the cost of international travel and accommodation for collaborative research visits and workshops/seminars.
