In the Summer of 2012, the world comes to the UK. The London 2012 Games will inspire and capture the imagination of millions of people worldwide. British Council is delighted to announce . This is a competition for English learners in Montenegro aged 13-18 who are sports lovers and who think they know a lot about the Olympic Games and sports in general.
The competition will have 2 rounds. The 1st round contains 50 multiple choice questions about London, athletics, football, Olympic Games history, facts and figures and some English vocabulary. Please visit our website English for the Games to practice for the first round. Successful participants will go into the 2nd round, where they will be asked to write a short essay or a newspaper article in English on a given topic related to the Olympic Games. The winner will get a wonderful opportunity of visiting London and spending two weeks learning English and exploring this exciting city. So, let’s get started.
All you have to do is complete the application form HERE , and make sure to give us your personal details, your e-mail and your mobile telephone number. Do this by 17 February 2012 or earlier. Once you register, you will get information from us by e-mail about how the competition will take place.

The first round of the Montenegro English Challenge will take place on Saturday, 25 February at 12 00. It will be a home based online quiz. You will receive the link to the quiz several minutes before the start of the Challenge by e-mail, and you will have limited time to complete and submit the quiz. So, make sure your e-mail is functional and you have a good internet connection. The best 30 participants who submit the quiz on time and have the maximum number of questions answered correctly, will compete in the second round. The time and place of the second round will be announced later on.
