INSPIRE – International Strategic Partnerships in Research and Education is a British Council funded project that aims to significantly strengthen the academic and research partnerships between the UK and a strategic selection of countries in Central South Asia, including: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.
The principal aim of INSPIRE is to support a transformational increase in the number and scope of Higher Education partnerships between the UK and universities in the CSA Region.
Applications are invited for grant funding from UK Higher Education Institutions and CSA Partner institutions for a range of activities.

The official launch of INSPIRE took place at the Commonwealth Club on Thursday 18th September. The event introduced INSPIRE, the funding opportunities available and also provided an update on the Higher Education market in each of the participating countries; attendees also had the chance to talk about INSPIRE with the Education Managers from each British Council country office.
