Alan is Chief Executive of KPMG Advisory which comprises around 6,500 colleagues who deliver: consulting; corporate finance; restructuring and other advice to business and government.

Alan has previously worked with clients such as: AstraZeneca, Tesco, G4S, Allied Domecq, Pepsi, Shell, GPA, Governments of Kuwait & Brunei, MEPC and Enterprise Oil. Alan has worked in UK, US, Far East, Continental Europe, Middle East and Central America. He has worked closely with advisors including most recently: Goldman Sachs, Slaughter & May, Sullivan & Cromwell and Bell Pottinger.

Alan grew up in North Lincolnshire and went to school in Cleethorpes. He read Philosophy at Durham University and is a Chartered Accountant.

Alan lives with his partner Adèle in a barn in Kent. Their children occupy most of their spare time. He enjoys running, sport, walking, reading and theatre.
