Chevening is the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) scholarship scheme, aimed at future leaders, opinion formers and decision-makers. The programme is managed by the British Council worldwide, supporting over 2,300 international students annually to study in the UK.

Chevening in Jordan

The Chevening Scholarships scheme is administered by us on behalf of the British Embassy in Amman. The programme began in 1984 and has supported over 300 Jordanians to date, from both the private and public sectors. Many have returned to assume senior positions in Jordan.
