Every year, thousands of students come to the British Council to improve their English and for many, speaking is their number one priority.

When you’re learning a foreign language, it’s natural to want to speak it confidently and without making mistakes, but with limited time or opportunity to practise outside the classroom, students often feel that progress is slow.

Our 32 hour Focus on Speaking course will help you develop the confidence and the ability to communicate effectively when speaking in English. We believe successful learners play an active part in their own learning and your course combines self-study exercises that will expand your active vocabulary with intensive classroom practice to improve your fluency and accuracy. Both are important if you want to make the most of your course.

Placement test booking period: 3  to 10 March

Placement testing and registration for new students: 11 to 19 March

Fees

Placement test: JOD 10.00 (non refundable)

Course fees for General English: JOD 210.00

Course fees for IELTS Preparation courses: JOD 220.00

Focus On Speaking Courses : JOD 220.00

Enrolment policy

We follow a ‘first-come first-served’ policy. Priority of enrolment will be given to students who register first. Please note that sitting for the placement test does not guarantee you a place. You will only be guaranteed a place on paying the full course fee.

Payment policy

1. All payments should be made in full.
2. We accept only cash, cheques and visa credit cards.
3. All payments should be in Jordanian Dinar.
4. If you are a sponsored candidate, you should bring a formal letter from your sponsoring body undertaking to pay the full fees.

Cancellation policy

• Teaching Centre does not offer refunds to students under any circumstances unless it is because we have had to close a class.
• A placement test is only valid for 6 months; if this period has expired a student will need to re-take the placement test.
• We do not offer refunds to students who wish to drop out.
