We are a cultural relations agency so our work in music aims to engage with people and audiences all over the world, drawing them into a closer relationship with the UK.

Recent activities

Road to Roots (June 2012)
Mawqef Concert

Three musicians from the UK took part in this project: Calum Maccrimmon (bagpipe and vocalist), Alasdair White (violinist) and Kathleen MacInnes (vocalist); in addition to a group of Jordanian musicians: the Rum group led by Tareq Al-Nasser. The Road to Roots project included joint working sessions and rehearsals that involved both the UK and Jordanian musicians (13-18 June 2012 at Rum Studios).

The vision of this innovative project is to celebrate musical diversity and enrich human heritage, as well as to lay the foundation for the progress and success of such collaboration in the future. In addition, the mission is to create a long-term partnership among a group of musicians from diverse cultures and musical traditions from both Jordan and the UK, aiming to enrich the musical knowledge and awareness of participating musicians and the audience.
